REFUNDS

You are eligible for a full refund (minus the Race Nation online fee) within the 7 days cooling off period from the day of booking.The cooling off period does not apply where a booking is made within 21 days of the event date

Deferral & Transfers

You are able to defer from an event once only, due to injury or illness, however this only applies to race distances of Marathon or greater, this must be done at least six weeks before the date of the event, deferral is to the following years event, to defer please email brian@windingpaths.uk this deadline is because after this time medals and other expenditure has already occurred, there is a small admin charge of £5 for a deferral which is paid when confirming you want to take part and your details the following year.

  IMPORTANT! When you defer your details are put on a Defer list for that event, when entries open for the same event the following year, you will be sent an email asking you to A) Confirm you still want a place and B) to confirm all your details for the place if you still want it and C) to make the payment of £5 for the admin fee, this all has to be done by a date set out in the email. If we do not recieve a reply to the email, we send a second one, two weeks before the deadline for replies, if we still do not get a reply by the deadline date, then we assume that the place is not wanted and your defer entry is not required.

A deferral is no guarantee that an event will take place the following year, if an event does not take place the following year or any future year then no refunds are given to people who deferred from the event, no transfers to another event and no race creidt will be given. 

Any addons purchased when you entered or at a later date (for example coach transfers) are not carried over for deferrals, as costs are still incurred by Winding Paths Ltd for these, you will need to request and pay for any addon again if required. 

You are able to transfer your place to another runner, this must be done at least 14 days before event day, you must email brian@windingpaths.uk to arrange this.

Event Sign Up Insurance

Upon signup you may be offered Refund Protect Insurance, this is an option added by Race Nation (the entry system proivder), it is nothing to do with Winding Paths Ltd, we do not receive any money or have anything to do with this insurance option. Any queries or questions should be directed at Race Nation.

EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY

Winding Paths Ltd reserves the right to alter the start time of the Event. In the event of a change of start time the Participants will be notified of the revised start time with as much notice as reasonably practicable. No refund in full or in part shall be made for any change in start time for an Event.

Winding Paths Ltd reserves the right to change the date of the Event in any unforeseen circumstances out of our control. If a participant is unable to make the new date a deferral to next years event will be offered.

In the event of circumstances beyond our control Winding Paths also has the right to move the event to a new location and/or to alter the route of the event. No refund will be given in this scenario.

Winding Paths Ltd reserves the right to allow the Participant to move their Event to another Event in the same year. The Participant shall provide a written request via email stating clearly the desire to move to another Event. A £5 administration charge will be levied by Winding Paths as well as any difference in fee of the event.

No refunds will be offered if cancellation is due to an unforeseeable natural disaster or other ‘act of God’ situations.

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

In consideration for being granted the right to participate, the Participant must pay the Entry Fee set out by Winding Paths Ltd.

The Participant shall complete the Entry Form online and submit it together with payment of the Entry Fee online.

PARTICIPATION

The Participant acknowledges that participation in the Event is physically strenuous. It is acknowledged that participation in the Event will be physically demanding and the Participant is aware of the nature of the Event and associated medical and physical risks involved.

Winding Paths reserves the right at any time to remove Participants from the Event or prevent Participants participating in the Event and future events, if in the Event Organisers sole discretion, it considers such action necessary for safety reasons or the proper enjoyment of the Event by other Participants or for any other reasonable reason. No refund of the Fee shall be made if the Participant has acted negligently, maliciously, with wilful misconduct or otherwise without due care and attention for the Event or other participants, so as to cause his/her removal/disqualification.

Race number must be collected by the named athlete only. Anyone running under another runners name/number will be disqualified and both runners banned from all Winding Paths Ltd events.

The Participant agrees that he/she is physically capable of competing in the Event and agrees to be solely responsible for his/her actions and Winding Paths Ltd, its officers, employees, agents, affiliates, associated companies, sponsors or medical advisers are not responsible for any injury or illness that the Participant may suffer as a result of his/her participation in the Event

While Winding Paths Ltd takes every care with the staging of the Event, the Participant acknowledges that personal accident and personal items insurance is his or her sole responsibility

The Participant acknowledges and accepts that circumstances concerning an Event may change from time to time for reasons out Winding Paths Ltd control.

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, which results in potentially unsafe conditions Winding Paths Ltd will either: Amend the course to make the event safe.or Where conditions cannot be made safe, cancel the event

Mandatory Kit

Each event has a mandatory kit list and this must be carried at all times on an event, there will be spot kit checks, even at the finish line, anyone not carrying the kit will be asked to leave the event and disqualified. If the kit check is at race number pick up, then no race number will be given. 

Rudeness/Abusive Behaviour

We do not tolerate rudeness or abusive behaviour of any type from any participant, anyone caught doing this will be disqualified and banned from all future events and their names passed on to other Race Directors.
